Tuesday Morning Edition

 Good morning all,

Wilderness Beach awarded Pilot Blue Flag Beach status.  Caledon Road roadworks continue today.  Go George will keep rolling over the holidays.  The festive season in Prince Albert?

Liberty TransCape MTB Encounter start moved from Knysna to George.  George Golf Club Newsletter.

Said it before – saying it again – Theresa May is no Iron Lady.  Germany and France face fed-up citizens.  Israeli police want to charge Netanyahu for graft.  Trump looking for a new chief of staff.  EU court taunts the British government.  What’s left of the UN sticking with ‘migration’.

Aaron Motsoaledi should redeploy the dead wood at Eskom to the Health Department, but get the ambulances on the road first.  If the DA is adamant that the land theft thing is an election ploy, why are they giving it airtime?

JSE down, Rand weaker and we’re holding onto our credit ratings by a thread.

Young Blitzbokke starting to show up the old hands.  It’s do-or-die for Liverpool tonight.  Zubayr Hamza speaks highly of Ashwell Prince and Faiek Davids.

Wilderness beach awarded “Pilot Blue Flag” certification

The Garden Routers, more specifically residents of the George municipal area, can be proud of their beach in Wilderness after the beach was awarded a certificate as “Pilot Blue Flag Beach” for this year 2018/2019.

Caledon Street Rehabilitation and Upgrade

Starting tomorrow, 11 December 2018, the BTB layer at the top and bottom of Caledon Street will be laid.  Once this is complete, the temporary stop street in Davidson Road, the Stop and Go’s, and the road closures will be removed for the holiday season, and traffic will return to normal.

Go George at your service during the holidays

All GO GEORGE services will continue throughout the holidays, running according to the Sunday schedule on Christmas Day, 25 December. The other public holidays, 17 and 26 December 2018 and 1 January 2019, will follow the Saturday schedule.

Spending the festive season in Prince Albert

As we enter the festive season and 2018 draws to a close, plans are being made for how the glorious South African summer months will be spent. This is a time to have quality experiences with loved ones, to unwind and to be reminded, yet again, of how much splendour surrounds us.

Diversity a key feature of new TransCape route

Moving the start for the Liberty TransCape MTB Encounter from Knysna to George has resulted in a slightly shorter overall distance, but has enabled route director Wayne Collett to make significant improvements.
