Friday Morning Edition

Good morning all,

MY VIEW

Demi-Leigh will speak at the Forbes Women Africa Leading Women Summit.  Planned power outage for Saagmeul Street.  Not everyone is happy about the prospect of drilling for oil and gas off Mossel Bay, but it could save PetroSA.

May suffers another defeat.  US and China looking for ways to prevent trade war tensions.  Maduro steps up efforts to prevent aid from getting to the people, but opposition is growing.  US Congress to vote on the wall deal.

How do we fix Eskom when the ANC cannot afford to lose votes?  Ajay Gupta arrest warrant cancelled.  Agrizzi refuses to testify at the Mokgoro Inquiry – calls for his testimony to be scrapped.

JSE flat.  Eskom’s power outages cost us R1 billion/day.

Proteas in a commanding position at stumps on Day 2.  Call the teams what you like, even dress them in comic book outfits, but the North-South derby remains what it is.  Gabriel apologises for saying nasty things about Root.  Semenya will fight IAAF in court.
