     My View

Jannie du Toit will be touring the Garden Route during the holidays.  Roadworks on Merriman Street in George.  Go George smart card goes live tomorrow.  GRDM & George Municipality are on the toxic smoke emissions.

SWD get a new Academy coach.  800 kids enjoy KFC mini-cricket.  SWD Cricket League results and fixtures.  George & Fancourt Golf Club Newsletters.

Brexit deadline looms but, unfortunately, Theresa May is no iron-lady.  Macron attacks Trump (from a distance) and gets it back with interest.  The Young ‘un is still playing games.  More gruesome details on the Kashoggi murder.  Seriously!  Have the Dems really resorted to two-bit vote rigging?  It certainly seems that way.

Adios Gigabytes, one more Zupta stooge bites the dust.  Get Nene back, get Madonsela and Pikoli into government and I may even consider voting for the ANC.  NDPP hearings must be held in public.  Local government to receive barely 9% of the national pie – disgraceful!  Mkhwebane is another piece of dead wood that has served her purpose.  Glynnis Breytenbach was probably just a token candidate anyway and has enough sense not to waste her time with folly.

Ramaphosa goes in search of more colonialist white monopoly capital – go figure – although it’s better than loan sharks from the East I guess.  Land theft’s intended victims make preparations.  Naspers continues to weigh down the JSE – the chickens have come home to roost.  Maynier labels Mboweni ‘just a sophisticated version of Trump’.  If that’s the case, I say yes, please!  Where is the SARB going to get the money to cover VBS’s losses?

Seems the only good news these days is on the sports front.  Warren Whitely’s injury may just solve a few selection issues for Rassie.  Kevin Anderson is starting to look like a future major winner.  Protea women just get better and better.  Bantwana looks like a really good side.  AB de Villiers will keep in shape for his return to international cricket in time for the next World Cup – mmmm wishful thinking?
