The MEIBC is pleased to announce that, following intensive bilateral talks between representatives of NUMSA and SEIFSA, the parties have reached an in-principle agreement to end the two-week long strike action.
These parties are currently in the process of reporting back to their structures and membership on the details of the agreement.
A meeting with other trade union and employer parties is planned to take place on Friday 15 July 2011 to report back on the strike settlement agreement.
A formal council meeting will be convened on Monday 18 July 2011 to formally conclude the settlement agreement.
A further announcement will be made on Monday 18 July.
