2-4 Des : Appelkoos en Wyn Naweek!Die Calitzdorp landbougemeenskap, die streek se wynplase en Agri Klein Karoo hou vanjaar die eerste keer ooit, in die hartjie van appelkoostyd, ‘n feestelike Standard Bank Appelkoos en Wyn Naweek. Besoekers en die plaaslike Klein Karoo gemeenskap kan 2, 3 en 4 Desember omkring om verseker op Calitzdorp te wees.Volgens die voorsitter van die reëlingskomitee, Carel Nel, sal die program eintlik al op Maandag, 28 November begin wanneer die jaarlikse appelkoosplukweek by De Kans Kelder afskop. Boplaas wyn en porte sal teselfdertyd met sjokoladegevulde appelkose gepaskanword. Boonop sal daar ‘n “Kunstige Kussings” –uitstalling by Boplaas wees. Vir die hongeres word daar reeds van Woensdag, die 30ste af braai-middagetes aaangebied, waarna die Saterdagprogram onder meer etes by die restourante, ‘n 3km pretstap ten bate van Cansa, proe en pas-geleenthede met appelkoosbestandele, ‘n appelkoospit spoegkompetisie, stalletjies, appelkoos kookdemonstrasies saam met Francois Frereira, donkiekar-toere deur die dorp en appelkoos likeur proesessies, asook rooterkoek met appelkooskonfyt en kaas en ander variasies insluit.Volgens Carel sal daar ook ‘n aanbieding oor die voorkoms van luiperds in die Calaitzdorp-omgewing en ‘n vetplant-uitstalling en verkope wees.Deelnemende kelders sluit Axe Hill, Boplaas, Calitzdorp Kleder, De Krans, Du’Swaroo Wyne, Peter Bayly Wyne en TTT Kelders in.NAVRAE kan gerig word aan Carel by 082 569 7400 of Jan Greyling by 082 556 8778.
