In an exciting weekend of cricket action in the Promotion and Reserve leagues of the SWD Cricket Board a match where 560 runs were scored in a single day the match betweenHeidelbergand Pirates United ended in a tie.Heidelbergmade 280/7 and Pirates replied with the same total – 280/9. Melkhoutfontein (172) recorded a convincing victory by 90 runs over neighbors, Riversdale (82 all out) whilst Blanco (213) continued their good form of the season when they beat Hartenbos (64 all out) by 131 runs.
Bongolethu (69/5) defeated Calitzdorp Young Stars (68 all out) by five wickets whilst Pioneers (263) fromPlettenbergBaybagged maximum match points as they beat Thembalethu (132 all out) by 131 runs.
