Ostrich industry gets help from EU

A delegation from the European Union (EU) is currently visiting theWestern Capeto help restructure the ostrich industry.

The sector has suffered several blows following the outbreak of avian influenza in April 2011.

So far, more than 40,000 ostriches have been culled.

The EU ban on South African ostrich exports is still in place.
