The coastal town of Still Bay in the Southern Cape could soon have its own art, food and culture route. Spokesperson for local tourism, Louise Gerryts, says that they are in the process of getting the project approved.
A route map will be available from the local tourism office directing visitors to various artists. She says that they would like to get Jongensfontein & Melkhoutfontein amongst other places involved.
“If you’re interested in pottery you can find out how many potters there are. It will be people who are willing for the public to call them, see where they work and what they do.”
Gerryts says that they want tourists to see and experience everything that happens in Still Bay.
