Join best- selling British author Albert Jack at The Bay Bookshop in the Cape Quarter on Thursday April 19 when he chats about his successful non-fiction writing career. With his latest book “It’s a Wonderful Word” now available in South Africa Albert Jack has enjoyed seeing his 11 non-fiction books reach best seller status with more than 20 months on the UK Sunday Times and New York Times Bestseller Lists between them, so he knows a thing or two about writing.
As a writer and historian Albert Jack has taken the unusual route of uncovering the idiosyncrasies of the stories behind the words, the truth behind the world’s greatest stories, nursery rhymes and unusual words and phrases. Given his extraordinary success he seems to have found many of the secrets to producing popular non-fiction books that grab the imagination and take the reader on a humorous journey of discovery
Now resident in Cape Town, Albert is offering a new series of workshops to would- be authors. The eight-week courses (one evening a week) will be run in Cape Town Central Library, Kenilworth and Johannesburg from mid April through to mid June. The workshops explore the skills and techniques that could see your manuscript getting positive attention.
