The Western Cape Education Department on Thursday said officials had finished capturing all supplementary exam results.
More than 6,000 grade 12 students applied to rewrite some subjects.
The Education Department’s Paddy Atwell said, “The Western Cape Education Department is on track for posting results to candidates who wrote their matric supplementary exams in February and March. The officials finished capturing the result on Wednesday. The department will process the results electronically over the weekend.”
Meanwhile, the province achieved the highest matric pass rate of 82.9 percent in 2011.
The nationwide matric pass rate increased from 2010’s to 70.2 percent.
