The dates for the Level 1 and 2 courses to be run by the SWD Coaching Department have been finalised. Dates for Orientation and KFC Coaching Courses will follow shortly. Applicants must fulfil the following requirements in order to attend the courses:
Level 1:
18+ years of age
Have a sound understanding of the game, or have attended an Orientation Course or be in possession of a pre 2005 Level 1 certificate They will be required to obtain a minimum of 80% in the pre-course test and access to a PC is advisable.
Level 2:
21+ years of age
Must have in their possession a Level 1 certificate (post 2005) and have had it for more than a year or:
Have a pre 2005 Level 2 certificate
This is the entry level for cricketers who have played 1st Class cricket
DATES:
Level 1 Courses will run over the following evenings concurrently in Mossel Bay, George and Knysna – 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 July 2012 (17:30 – 20:30 each evening) with the exam being written on 30th July (18:00 – 19:00).
The Level 2 course will run over the weekend of the 31 August (14:00start), 1, 2 September in Oudtshoorn. Coaches from other areas will be accommodated. The course will finish at 16:00 on Sunday 2nd September.
Coaches will be expected to attend all the modules and lectures. Failure to do so will result in the coach not qualifying.

Applicants must submit a registration form and also submit a copy of their ID book. Level 2 applicants are requested to also submit a copy of their Level 1 certificate or the pre 2005 Level 2 certificate.
Applications close onFriday 8th June 2012for the Level 1 courses and onthe 20th July 2012for the Level 2 course. Applicants who meet the requirements are encouraged to apply early because places are limited on the courses.
