ELITE BATTING PROGRAM: SWD CRICKET BOARD
Three players from Bongolethu Cricket Club in Oudtshoorn were included in the 2012SWDCricketAcademyintake and also forms part of the elite batting coaching program of the province. During a recent visit from Adrian Birrel (2nd from left), the Chevrolet Warriors assistant coach were Lorenzo Godfrey, Lee-Henry Meyer, Dumisa Ngqambuza, Lukholo Spogtra, Ross McMillan and Garry Hampson (SWD Cricket Board Coaching manager).
NATIONAL LOTTERIES SUPPORT UNION STARS CRICKET CLUB
Union Stars Cricket Club, who represented South Western Districts at the annual Cricket South Africa Club championships inPretoriarecently received clothing/apparel as part of the grant allocation to the SWD Cricket Board by the National Lotteries. Mr Rudy (right), President of the SWD Cricket Board symbolically handed-over the clothing to the captain of Union Stars, Pieter Stuurman. On the left is Mr Denzil Erasmus (Executive Committee member of Union Stars Cricket club).
