APPOINTMENTS: SWD CRICKET BOARD
The SWD Cricket Board (SWDCB) recently announced various appointments as part of the cricket structures for the 2012/13 season.
With the approval of an amended constitution at the Annual General Meeting of the SWDCB that was held on July 2th 2012, Mr Vuyani Maloi, the Chairperson of the Black African Cricket Forum, will now become a full member of the SWDCB Executive Committee.
Mr Roderick Robertson (from Sussex Cricket Club) is the newly appointed chairperson of the SWD Women’s Cricket Committee whilst Salvin Hannie, who coached the SWD Women’s team the previous season, was re-appointed as coach for the 2012/13 season. Desmond Anthony will be the assistant coach and Debbie le Roux the team manager.
The regional women’s cricket co-ordinators are Desmond Anthony (Oudtshoorn), Hennie Pieters (Hessequa), Wilfred Pietersen (MosselBay) and Annemie Koen (SWD U/18). The appointment for George must be confirmed.
The Black African co-ordinators to oversee the Black African Cricket program in the regions are Nceba Futwa (Bongolethu, Oudtshoon), Lastword Tapfumanye (Thembalethu, George), Unathi Manyube (Assistant coach; Thembalethu, George)and Siabonga Masa (Kwanonqaba, Mossel Bay).
Johan Weyers will be the coach of the SWD U/19 team and SWD U/18 team. The U/18 team will play in the Coca Cola Khaya Majola week that will be hosted in Potcefstroom (16-21 December).
Other coaching appointments are:
Prieur du Plessis (SWD u/17 for CSA u/17 National week in Cape Town; 12-16 December), Danie Oosthuizen (SWD u/15 for CSA u/15 National Week in Durban; 8-12 December), Pieter Stuurman (SWD u/13 for CSA u/13 week in Paarl; 9-13 December) and Annemie Koen (SWD Girls u/19 for CSA Girls u/19 week in Oudtshoorn; 13-17 December).
The coaches appointed as co-ordinators for the Centres of Excellence/Hubbs are Elridge Booysen (Oudtshoorn), Ranwill Claassen (Mossel Bay), Irvin Campher (Knysna) and Shaun Pretorius (George)
SWD CRICKET BOARD GOLF DAY

The SWD Cricket Board will present their annual golf day onFriday, October 12th, 2012at the Mossel Bay Golf Club.
