Only one Premier League fixture is scheduled for this weekend. Pirates United, who were promoted this season to the Premier League will take on Harlequins Forces in Knysna. 

Harlequins will have the services of the two SWD provincial players, Phaphama Fojela and Luthando Mnyanda as well as the promising Glenton Stuurman. 

The league fixtures for Saturday are:

The SWD Cricket Board will host the Cricket South Africa Girls U/19 National tournament in Oudtshoorn, starting on Saturday. The SWD Cricket Board will be hosts when the Cricket South Africa National Girls U/19 week is presented in Oudtshoorn between 15 and19 December 2012. The sixteen provincial affiliates of Cricket SouthAfricawill participate in the tournament. On Thursday 20 December 2012a SA Schools XI, which will be selected from the top achievers, will take on the SWD provincial team at the Bridgton Sport Grounds in Oudtshoorn. SWD, also hosted this event in 2007. 

It is expected that WesternProvince, Boland, Northerns and Gauteng will emerge as the strongest teams in the tournament. The hosts, SWD, will play WesternProvince on the opening day at the REC Ground.

Three members of the SWD Cricket Board who recently successfully completed the Sport Management Diploma attended the graduation ceremony at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg. They were Theo Ferreira, Zenobia Nel and Felicity Prins. Ms Nel, the Administrative Assistant at the SWD Cricket Board was the top student on course.
