LEAGUE FIXTURES
With the SWDCB Premier League semi finals that will be contested on February, 16th 2012 the top four teams have already been confirmed. Home ground advantage and the potential relegation that are faced by Pacaltsdorp, Ramblers or Pirates will be however be strongly contested during the next few weeks. The clash between log leaders and defending champions, Union Stars and Harlequins Forces will however create the most interest. In other matches Sussex will host Pirates United at D’Almeida, Pacaltsdorp United will travel to the Van Riebeeck Stadium where they will take on Mossel Bay whilst Ramblers will have a high hurdle when they host George at Rosemoore.

DISAPPOINTING PERFORMANCE FOR SWD U/19’S AGAINST WESTERN PROVINCE
The SWD U/19 team had a disappointing performance the past weekend when they were defeated by an innings and 109 runs at the hands of a very strong Western Province team. The match, in the CSA U/19 Three Day competition, was played at the Recreation Ground in Oudtshoorn and was finished by lunch on the second day.
SWD, who won the toss and elected to bat, were dismissed for a modest 84 after being 36/9 but a 10th wicket partnership between Josh Peters (27*) and Dillon Moos (32) gave some respectability to the SWD total. Western Province replied with 303/6 declared thanks to a well-played innings by Zubayi Hamza (97). The SWD batsmen again failed in their second innings, and were dismissed for 110 with only Ruan Stander (39) and Chris Marrow (39) who added valuable contributions with the bat.

PREMIER LEAGUE RESULTS FOR THE WEEKEND
The top four teams in the SWDCB Premier League competition consolidated their positions on the top of the leaderboard as they were all victorious in the matches played during the past weekend.
The defending champions, Union Stars, along with George, Mossel Bay and Harlequins recorded victories with bonus points and are all almost secure of a place in the semi-finals that will be played on February, 16th 2013.
George (198/3) defeated Sussex (197/8) by 7 wickets whilst Harlequins (150/6) advanced to their first semi-final outing when they recorded an important victory away from home when they beat Pacaltsdorp United (149 all out) by 4 wickets.
Union Stars, thanks to a brilliant innings by Pieter Stuurman (95) managed to score 224 for an impressive 124 runs victory against Pirates United (100 all out). Mossel Bay who made 112 was too strong for Ramblers who only managed to reply with 75 (all out) for a 37 runs victory in a low scoring match.

SWDCB PROMOTION LEAGUE RESULTS
Knysna Cavaliers (184 all out) recorded an important victory of 36 runs against Blanco (148 all out) to ensure a place in the semi-final of the SWDCB Promotion League Competition. Mayflower from Great Brak River, who scored 314 thanks to a century from Grant Mentoor (134) also ensured a place in the semi-final when they defeated Heidelberg (108 all out) by 206 runs.

SWD EMERGING TEAM
The SWD selectors has announced an Emerging Team that will participate in the Chevrolet Cricket Eastern Cape Emerging team tournament in Port Elizabeth this weekend. The team will play Eastern Province and Friday and Border on Saturday.
