Once a derelict fish factory in the heart of Hout Bay’s fishing epicentre, Bay Harbour Market has become a vibrant Western Cape attraction with scores of eager shoppers flocking to the harbour each weekend. A platform for entrepreneurial traders and established companies to extend their brands, this industrial chic playground boasts fashion shows, Saturday auctions and impromptu musical performances in and amongst the wide array of art, crafts and food for sale.

Visitors are spoiled for choice with a huge array of goods and food for sale including gourmet cuisine from Pete Goffe-Wood’s Kitchen Cowboys, soup from Zoop!, mouth-watering pizza or meals from further abroad courtesy of Tao’s Chinese Kitchen. What’s on the Bay Harbour Sound Stage
Friday 1 February: Hitting the stage on February 1st for Friday Nite LIVE! is powerful jazz/funk trio Acid Blues. Consisting of funding member and super-talented jazz guitarist James Kibby, renowned funk/blues/punk bassist Maurice Paliaga and experienced session drummer Richard Pickett, this is a collaboration that is sure to impress.

Saturday 2 February: Talented jazz pianist Alan Cameron takes to the Bay Harbour Sound Stage on Saturday February 2nd. Alan is a highly accomplished muso with a sound that is both uplifting and resonant of the South African Landscape. He plays regularly in and around Cape Town and will undoubtedly provide Bay Harbour attendees with the perfect soundtrack for shopping, eating, browsing and chilling.

Sunday 3 February: Ending the weekend off on Sunday February 3rd is acoustic blues band The Room. Guitar duo Matt Murdoch and James Middleton hail from a blues background and have been jamming together for over 4 years covering artists like Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton and Dire Straits. The band has taken on a new dimension with the addition of percussionist Brian van Vuuren. The Room play a wide range of songs some originals and covers including tunes from the likes of Eric Clapton, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dire Straits and The Doors.

As well as awesome live music, arts, crafts, fashion, decor and delicious cuisine, Bay Harbour is also hosting a monthly comedy showcase on the first Wednesday of each month.
