The seat of many mystical tales, the Cape of Storms has always inspired tales of legendary journeys and unfathomable heroism, both real and imagined. It’s in this sweeping spirit of sheer epicness that the organisers of RAMfest Cape Town bring you a 2013 line-up that is set to rival the scope of well-known international festivals and steeply raise the bar where local production value is concerned.
No memorable tale is complete without a grand setting, which is why we’ve decided to give even Tolkien a run for his money and whisk festival goers away to the lush shores of Riviersonderend for this year’s proceedings. Aptly named the ‘Circle of Dreams’, our 2013 venue provides the perfect backdrop for all manner of phenomenal experiences and promises to win over even the most ardent ‘camp- phobics.’
RAMfest organiser Dawid Fourie says: “RAMfest has found a new home! It is going to be one of the best festival venues in South Africa. We are very excited about the amazing artists we have secured this year and we are looking forward to be celebrating Real Alternative Music.”
The next level RAMfest CT 2013 line-up includes International acts: Rise Against (USA), British Metalcore band Bring Me The Horizon, Paul Harding en Ben Verse from Pendulum (Australia and England) and some of SA`s wildest and most treasured acts including Jack Parow, Van Coke Kartel, Beast, Goodnight Wembley and more.
This year there will be 4 stages at RAMfest Cape Town: The Red Heart Rum Stage for the MAIN vibe, the Monster Energy Alternative Stage for our brothers and sisters in Metal, the Olmeca Tequila Electronic Stage for pumping up the volume and the BOOM stage for rounding it all off with some more good, solid, rocking tunes.

A beautifully secluded venue situated in one of the most verdant regions of the Overberg, the ‘Circle of Dreams’ is a outdoor destination second to none, providing festivalgoers with ample shaded camping spots, various outdoorsy entertainment options and a majestic natural panorama.
DIRECTIONS
Venue is 170 km from Cape Town and 260 km from George. Take the N2 past Caledon to Riviersonderend. Go through Riviersonderend. Travel 7 km out of town and turn left at DR1306. LOOK FOR SIGNS! NB: Distance is relative to your desire to travel, life’s a journey, enjoy the ride.
