Athletics SWD recently send two athletes to participate at the SA Combined Events and Race Walking Championships that was held on 22 and 23 March 2013 in Germiston.
Anél Oosthuzien won a GOLD medal in the Junior Women 10,000m Walk with a fantastic time of 53:23,91.
Candice Ludick participated in the Junior Women Heptathlon. Her various performance was: Hurdles 18.95 (3rd), High Jump 1.25m (3rd), Shot Put 8.63m (2nd), 200m 28.15 (4th), Long Jump 4.83m (2nd), Javelin 21.47m (3rd) and 800m 3:01.20 (4th). With an overall BRONZE medal with 3067 points.
