Congratulations to Anél Oosthuizen who was recently selected by Athletics South Africa to participate at the CAA African Junior Championships in Mauritius from 29 August to 1 September 2013. She will participate in the 5000m race walking event.
She made Athletics SWD very proud this year, bringing home two gold medals at the SA Combined Events and Race Walking Championships (Germiston) in March, with a time was 53:23.91 in the 10km race walk for junior women; and then at the SA Senior Track and Field Championships (Stellenbosch) in April, with a time of 1:44.42 in the 20km race walk for senior women.
Anel also received top honors at Athletics SWD Annual Prize Giving Function were she received the overall ASWD Sportswoman of 2012 award.
