“All great champions began their careers at junior level. I played a lot of amateur and junior golf and I know how important competition is to your development as a player. This is where champions are made and it is an honour for me to work with the South African Golf Association in growing and nurturing this country’s future Major champions.

“Play your matches in the true spirit of the game, with skill and sportsmanship. I hope you will renew old acquaintances, make new friends and leave with wonderful memories of great tournament.”

The four-man teams will compete over three rounds with 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday. The best three scores in each team will count towards their total in in each round.
