This summer visitors to the Terra del Capo Tasting Room, situated on Anthonij Rupert Estate in Franschhoek, can look forward to the quintessential Italian Dolce Vita experience.
Known for bespoke wine tasting in a magnificent setting, Terra del Capo Tasting Room now also boasts a beautifully landscaped garden under the shade of olive trees in front of the tasting room. Here, alfresco dining transports visitors a couple of steps closer to the real deal. Created with privacy and comfort in mind the garden is divided into individual dining areas, each accommodating parties of up to eight guests. This makes it the perfect place to celebrate with friends while soaking up the picturesque views of the Franschhoek valley and surrounds.
The food experience is authentic, delicious and vibrant. With Antipasti being the main focus, ingredients are carefully sourced from local artisanal producers or organically grown on the estate. In addition to fresh produce top quality extra virgin olive oil, honey, fresh herbs, cured marinated olives, artisanal bread and Verjuice are all produced in house, and available for sale from the Tasting Room’s farm shop. A daily Chef’s selection Antipasti platter compiled around seasonal produce is on offer, at R150 per person. Some examples of the selection include grilled marinated vegetables with rosemary and garlic, white anchovies with tomato, olives and capers, and crispy fried squid with lemon aioli. Reservation is recommended.
