The RIDING FOR CHANGE – Western Cape SAPS / Men For Change 16 Days of Activism – 2nd Annual Enduro motorcycle ride kicks off next week (25 November to 10 December).
Myself and Brigadier Lincoln will be accompanied by many more riders and I hope that you will be able to fit in an interview with us (English / Afrikaans) when we visit your area.
We’ll be in , Plett, Knysna, George Mosselbay, Oudtshoorn, between the 4th and 7th (George on the 5th of December).

A part of the IT’S NOT IN MY JOB DESCRIPTION Programme, this is not only an awareness campaign, but police members will work voluntary free hours, with no remuneration or time off in lieu of operational hours worked, as a gift to the communities in the Western Cape, rural as well as urban. Operations will take place in partnership with Provincial Traffic, local Law Enforcement, Dept. of Correctional Services, Cape nature, Metro Police and many others.
Daytime projects include teaching self-defence to women and high school learners, visiting old age homes, working intensely with victims of violence, etc. We will compile safety plans etcetera.
Both myself and the brigadier are highly trained Martial Artists and the empowerment of communities is a passion which we both share. I am also the President of the Western Cape Martial Arts Association, which includes Japanese, Korean, Chinese fighting styles such as Karate, Muay Thai, Aikido, Tang Soo Do and many others.
We will be visiting towns like Ceres, Worcester, Piketberg, Citrusdal, Oudtshoorn, George, Mosselbaai, Vredendal, Beaufort Wes, Swellendam, and of course Cape Metro area – Kleinvlei, Langa township, Bishop Lavis, and many other suburbs.
