The SWD cricket team had a disappointing weekend when they lost both the three and one day match against Free State in Bloemfontein.

In the three day match Free State posted a massive 442/4 in the first innings and dismissed SWD for 127 and 307 respectively to record a victory by an innings and 8 runs. Ross McMillan (106) scored a century in the follow-on innings.
Free State, after scoring 282/6 in the limited over match dismissed SWD for a moderate 150 to record a comprehensive victory of 132 runs.
