The Sedgars Premier League competition of the SWD Cricket Board will commence this weekend after the Christmas holiday recess.
The finalists of the previous season, Union Stars and Harlequins will play each other at the Bridgton Sports Grounds in Oudtshoorn. The home team, with several SWD provincial players available, are the big favourites. Sussex will host Pirates United at D’Almeida whilst Mayflower and Mossel Bay will battle it out at Great Brak River.
George, who have a struggling season, and Pacaltsdorp United will take on its other at Rooirivier-rift.
Several matches are also scheduled in the Promotion-, Reserve- and Women’s league.
