Robert and South Africa-born Lynette Federer recently presented Port Elizabeth-based Greyvensteins Givers Gain Charity with an autographed racquet from their tennis ace son Roger. It will be auctioned at the charity’s annual fundraising gala event in November.
The proceeds of the racquet will go to IMBEWU, a grassroots development non-governmental organisation that initiates or coordinates sustainable participative projects by working with local communities in the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality. IMBEWU presently benefits over
1 600 Port Elizabeth youth between six and 20 years old.
