The 16th Annual Namibia Tourism Expo, hosted by Republikein commenced on Wednesday 4th of June and ended on Saturday, the 7th of June. The main aim of this prestigious and mega event was to provide a platform for the hospitality industry of Namibia by promoting and marketing their products and services amongst potential customers and industry leaders and was supported by all Namibian Tourism Organisations, including the Namibian Tourism Board (NTB).
This Expo is well known being the only centralised marketing platform for the hospitality industry in Namibia, by displaying the products and services related to travel and hospitality industry.
This year, the Garden Route & Klein Karoo Regional Tourism was represented by the Oudtshoorn Tourism, Mossel Bay Tourism, George Tourism as well as Knysna Tourism. District Municipalities are legislatively mandated to coordinate and facilitate regional tourism. In order to adhere to this, the Eden District Municipality took the initiative to design a regional stand promoting the region as the leading tourist destination in South Africa.
