September is Tourism month in South Africa which makes Durban the ideal place to host the competition. What better place than in this vibrant city with its mixture of cultures and cosmopolitan feel?
The competition is open to chefs up to 27 years of age with less than five years professional experience. Competitors must be working in one of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs member establishments, and have won their country’s national competition before competing at the international level. Competitors will again be challenged with a mystery basket filled with challenging and wonderful ingredients. All of this will be made possible by sponsors such as Unilever, Le Cordon Bleu institute, Bragard (chefs clothing), Wüsthof (knives for all International winners) and Chefs Hat inc.
This international competition is surely the highlight on the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs’ calendar and Chaîne des Rôtisseurs South Africa is proud to be the hosts of this year’s event!
