“It’s a visual lighting spectacle from front of house and when they hit the chorus of their new single ‘I’ve Been Bad’, 12 000 people lose their collective shit. Zebra & Giraffe has never sounded better technically –or more rock ‘n’roll!.”Oppikoppi 2014 ~ www.texxandthecity.com
Zebra & Giraffe `s new album “Knuckles”will be introduced to fans with an extensive tour across the country in September and October 2014. Theeight-track album is a powerful reminder of why Zebra & Giraffe have twice been awarded the SAMA for ‘Best Rock Album’(2008 and 2014), as well as the MTV All Africa(2009) award for “Best Alternative Band.
The first single off album, ‘I’VE BEEN BAD’was released earlier this month. ‘I’VE BEEN BAD’was written and recorded by Zebra & Giraffe, dual produced by Grammy-winning engineer Darryl Torr and performance craft maven Shy, and mixed in Los Angeles by Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Fleetwood Mac).
The accompanying video for the new single was directed by Ross Garrett (who co-directed Die Antwoord’s ‘Fok Julle Naaiers’) and shot by acclaimed D.O.P Rob Malpage (‘The Knife’, ‘End Of The Road’). It features members of the Hell’s Angels South Africa, a “Playboy”Playmate, a cameo by Bert Carlin and a select cast of Zebra & Giraffe fans & friend.

Zebra & Giraffe is currently hailed as one of South Africa`s finest live acts as proved by these raving reviews for their performance at Oppikoppi Odyssey 2014. Do not miss them on tour!
“Their live set at Oppikoppi proved that The Wisest Ones, along with the taste we got of their new stuff, has not only cemented Zebra & Giraffe as one of SA’s heavyweights in the genre, but showed that they’re not all about tight jeans and pretty guitars. They’re about the music. I look forward to this next album.” – Nikita Ramkissoon, Mail & Guardian Online.
“These rockers have become one of the best live acts that South Africa has to offer”–Henno Kruger, Running Wolf`s Rant.
“Their new single ‘I’ve been bad’ shows exactly where the band is, dark verses,a catchy chorus, and showcasing how hard they have been working. It’s just so good! “They are sleeker and more polished than they have ever been.” – Catherine Grenfell, 5fm.
