Get Uncorked at Anthonij Rupert Wines (27 & 28 September)

Bid farewell to the dark, cold days of Winter and celebrate the start of Spring in the Winelands. This year’s Franschhoek Uncorked Festival, takes place over the weekend of 27 and 28 September.

Wineries throughout the valley will be teaming up and show casing their latest releases, allowing patrons to taste wines for free in Franschhoek for the whole weekend. Anthonij Rupert Wine Estate will be participating in the festival with their own unique offering. To start, there is L’Ormarins Brut Classique to taste accompanied by an all day Oyster Bar with a selection of delicious salsas and toppings. Sip, sample and savour the full Protea range which consist of seven lifestyle wines. On the food scene, look forward to mouth-watering slow roasted lamb sandwiches and traditional Panini’s filled with Italian Charcuterie and Artisinal cheese.

Once you have found your new favourite wine, take advantage of the exclusive Uncorked festival offers. This year all wineries will be sporting a “buy 5, get the sixth bottle free” special.

Your Uncorked Weekend Pass, costs R120 per person and can be purchased directly online from www.webtickets.co.za.  Passes include a tasting glass and free wine tastings at all the participating wineries in Franschhoek for the duration of the weekend.

Anthonij Rupert Estate is also adding to the festival this year with their annual Protea Party which kicks off on Saturday evening 27th September at 18:30.This bespoke event will celebrate the release of their new Protea label, with a harvest style feast. After watching the sun set over the Franschhoek Valley, a three-course Harvest style feast follows, paired with the latest releases from the Protea Wines range.  This is a Winelands party not to be missed.
