DAVID MEULEN – single “Remember Me?” on radio and television and upcoming shows Sept/Oct.
Since the release of David Meulen`s debut album @davidmeulen, the single “Remember Me?” has enjoyed extensive day-time airplay on KFM and has recently been selected as the theme song on Home Channel`s freshest local property show “Show House.” (DSTV channel 176). Christopher Taljaard, Senior Producer at Home Channel says that they chose the track as it fitted the upbeat, local feel that they were looking for. “David’s music and vibe sets him apart from others as he is one of those songwriters, which no matter what time of day you hear his music, it makes you feel good.”
“Remember Me?” has also been playlisted on various other SA Radio stations and a video of the track is currently in the making.

The 12 track album features an eclectic mix of well-known artists. Legendary Johnny Clegg drummer Barry Van Zyl features prominently on drums and percussion, with Dirty Skirts virtuoso Maurice Paliaga and Kyle Dijkstra (live show bassist for David Meulen) coming in to create a solid backbone. Evelyn Hart provides an alternate bass sound on the lower register of her piano. The blues harp king Lonesome Dave Ferguson appears on a few of the bluesier tracks. Close friend and poet Jessi Howell came in to collaborate on the lyrics in some of the songs. She also created the characters that are featured on the album cover.
