The Wealth Corporation to host a series of retirement-readiness seminars across South Africa
(Cape Town, South Africa – 7 October 2014) The idea of retirement or retirement planning elicits different emotional responses from different people. Some breathe easy when they think about their retirement nest egg, while others experience uncertainty, fear and even a sense of panic when the thought of retiring comes to mind.
But being retirement-ready doesn’t have to be a daunting prospect. The Wealth Corporation will be hosting a series of coaching seminars across South Africa aimed at offering some sage advice and practical know-how to help attendees look at their retirement needs holistically and practically. Attendees can expect to walk away feeling empowered that they are able to plan for and manage their retirement financially, practically and emotionally.
“The seminars are focused on empowering individuals with the right knowledge to help them make more informed decisions about their retirement,” says Andries du Toit, CEO of The Wealth Corporation.
“Retirement comes with a host of positive and negative emotions, excitement and insecurities. Our job is to help people remove those negatives so that they can move into retirment with optimism, excitement and a sense of security. The seminars will address exactly that.”
The line-up of speakers at each seminar will include: Dr Woolf Solomon, a clinical psychologist with more than 25 years’ experience who will speak about the psychological aspects of retiring; Pieter Nieuwoudt of The Wealth Corporation will examine financial planning pre- and post-retirement; while Madeleine Schubert of Citadel will explore estate planning.
Ruda Landman, distinguished journalist and TV presenter who is best known for co-hosting South Africa’s most popular investigative journalism programme, Carte Blanche, will act as MC and facilitator at all the seminars.
Seminars will take place in Johannesburg on 29 October, Pretoria on 30 October, Durban on 5 November, and Cape Town on 6 November. The seminars are free of charge and are open to individuals who are thinking of and planning for their retirement, as well as those who have already retired but may be looking for a fresh perspective on their retirement investment.
