Vox Telecom enters specialist consulting and business applications

Vox_Telecom_smallAcquisition of Two IT and Computer Initiatives signals continued growth and differentiation

20 October 2014, Johannesburg – Vox Telecom has continued on its growth and differentiation strategy by acquiring Two IT and Computer Initiatives (CI).  Both companies, which have regional presence in the Western Cape and Gauteng respectively, deliver specialist consulting and solutions in Microsoft Dynamics and business applications.

“The acquisition of both Two IT and CI enables us to add a layer of consulting services and business applications, particularly in the Microsoft environment, to our current stack for medium and enterprise-size customers.  Combined with Vox Cloud, we are now able to offer affordable ERP and CRM solutions to businesses that have traditionally not been able to afford investment in these systems.  Something we have been looking to do for a while now,” says Jacques du Toit, CEO of Vox Telecom.

The two organisations will merge to become a new division within Vox Telecom that delivers specialist Microsoft ERP, CRM and business applications, together with a strong consultancy focus.  The deal secures the existing management of the two organisations, and the division will be headed up by Two IT founder, Heath Huxtable.  Computer Initiatives managing director, Ronald Laxton will be responsible for leading the business development team.

“We have always taken a consultative approach to working with our customers to develop managed service solutions tailored to their needs.  The decision to partner with Vox Telecom was borne out of the very positive working relationship we already have, and the potential for both parties to expand their services offerings to a bigger market,” says Heath Huxtable, head of Vox Telecom’s Consulting and Software Integration Division.

Adds Ronald Laxton, head of business development, “Developing simple solutions to address complex problems is what the Computer Initiatives business was built on – this acquisition enables us to expand this reach beyond Gauteng, to do the same for companies across the country.  At the same time, we are able to leverage Vox Telecom’s existing infrastructure, to deliver greater business efficiencies, while minimising the number of suppliers required to achieve this.”

“This partnership will enable us to create bespoke, affordable solutions for our small to medium business customers across all sectors.  Ours will be one of the only CRM and ERP offerings designed specifically with the mid-market in mind,” concludes Du Toit.
