The SWD Women’s team will travel to Mthatha this weekend for their season opener in the Cricket South Africa Provincial Women’s competition against Kei. The SWD girls will be the favourites and will be very keen to start the new season on a high.
Coach Eric Jacobs must be satisfied with the pre-tournament preparation and his team will be full of confidence to make a solid start.
The team will take on Kei on Saturday in a 50 over match whilst a Twenty20 fixture will be completed on Sunday. The fixtures (50 over match on Saturday and T20 match on Sunday) for the rest of the season are:
17 & 18 January: vs Griquas (Oudtshoorn)
14 & 15 February: vs Eastern Province (Oudtshoorn)
28 February & 1 March: vs Border (East London)
