The four teams that will contest the semi-final’s of the Sedgars SWD Cricket Twenty20 competition were determined the past weekend. The semi-final’s and final will be played at the Recreation Ground on Saturday, January, 10th 2014.
The defending champions, Union Stars (101/4) knocked-out Pacaltsdorp United (101/4) with a comfortable 6 wicket victory whist Western Hope (112 all out) recording a nail-biting two runs victory against Ramblers (110 all out). Union Stars will meet Western Hope in the one semi-final.
NMMU Madibaz will meet Mossel Bay in the other semi-final after both teams recorded convincing victories. NMMU (126/3) defeated George (120 all out) by 7 wickets whilst Mossel Bay (175/2) was too strong for Sussex (119/9). Drikus Visagie was the batting hero for Mossel Bay with an unbeaten 94*.

Wessel Hartslief (61*) was impressive for George (124/5) who defeated Blanco (123 all out) by 5 wickets whilst Enver Bezuidenhout (6/11) was the hero for Pacaltsdorp United (65/4) who beat Thembalethu (63 all out) by 6 wickets.
Bilaal Samsoodien (7/11) produced outstanding bowling figures for Sussex (31/1) after they dismissed Pirates United for only 28 for a convincing 9 wickets victory.
