Persons with Disabilities can live life fabulously

fAbility Lifestyle Guide, a company committed to showing that Persons with Disabilities have ‘The Ability to Live Life Fabulously’, is hosting an exciting seminar in Cape Tpwn on 28 January 2015. The seminar focuses on understanding what disability awareness is, and how the audience can implement what they learnt from the seminar in their workplaces, homes and everyday life.

fAbility brings you an exciting Disability Awareness Seminar

“We are hosting a seminar this month that has an amazing line-up of speakers who either have a disability or are doing amazing work raising awareness about working with Persons with Disabilities, Entrepreneurs and the best in celebrity entertainment,” says Rigney.

On Wednesday 28 January 2015, fAbility Lifestyle Guide is hosting the ‘Inspiring, Transformative and Fabulous’ seminar that shows how you can be fabulous while achieving all your dreams and aspirations at the same time. The seminar will take place at Bridgeways, Ratanga Junction in Century City, Cape Town from 8:00am – 3:30pm. The cost per delegate is R1 500.00.

Celebrity radio presenter and MC, Cavall Burgess will be the MC at the event, and some of the speakers include Jesse Lodge, a successful serial entrepreneur; Casual Day ambassador, Terry-Ann Adriana Adams, an albino who is the Face of fAbility, an albinism ambassador and a disability rights activist, Casual Day ambassador Jabulile Ngwenya, who was born Deaf, and went on to become a journalist and an entrepreneur and Nicky Abdinor, a Clinical Psychologist who was born without arms, and who will deliver the keynote address.

Burgess will host a guest session with several entrepreneurs and movers and shakers in their industries to talk about entrepreneurship. Some of the guests who will feature in this session include serial entrepreneur and international speaker, Ettiene Pretorius; Zaid Philander of I-Scream & Red, iStart2 Challenge and I See You SA campaign. A surprise celebrity guest will feature at the seminar.

Who should attend?

The seminar is open to people who want to understand what disability is and what it means, gain an in-depth overview of the Employment Equity Act 55 of 1998 and what it means for employers, what reasonable accommodation and universal design is, and valuable tips for being a successful entrepreneur. Persons with Disabilities, employers, human resources and employment equity representatives, line managers, skills development facilitators, entrepreneurs and change agents should attend this seminar, which will be beneficial to their companies, careers and personal development.
