SA take early lead against French

JOHANNESBURG (27 January 2015) – The French will have to come out firing in the Singles to rescue the first round of two-day Test at St Francis Links after South Africa’s six-man junior side took three straight points in a productive morning.

Southern Cape’s Jovan Rebula and Keegan de Lange from Gauteng North defeated Antoine Kuoch and Leo Mathard 5 & 4 to claim first blood in the Foursomes.

Gauteng North’s JP Cooper and Herman Loubser from Boland, who campaigned in the Minsheng Beijing Junior Open in Beijing last year, proved too tough a combination for Antoine Auboin and Victor Veyret, who went down 2 & 1.

Central Gauteng pair Marco Steyn and Dylan Naidoo ensured the clean sweep for South Africa when they combined to defeat French Junior Order of Merit leader Jeong-Weon Ko and Paul Foulquie.
