The Women’s team of Union Stars on Sunday comprehensively clinched the SWD Women’s League competition when they defeated Ramblers by 259 runs in the final that was played at the Recreation Ground in Oudtshoorn on Sunday. Union Stars were also unbeaten in the league stage of the competition.

SWD batter, Julandi Saaiman (82), was the top performer with the bat but she received very good support to enable Union Stars to posted 318. Monique Booysen (5/8) was in great form with the ball for the champions as Ramblers were dismissed for only 59. Only Annemie Koen (39) offered any resistance with the bat.
