Two models from Mercedes-Benz Cars have been awarded a Red Dot design prize: the Mercedes-AMG GT has won the “Red Dot: Best of the Best” for outstanding design quality and ground-breaking styling, while the smart for two takes the Red Dot for high design quality. Both models have already won the internationally renowned “iF product design award 2015”.

Altogether, 1 994 manufacturers and designers from 56 countries entered 4 928 products in this year’s Red Dot competition, which celebrates its 60th anniversary.  The aim of the 38-member jury is to acknowledge the finest achievements in international product design. The award ceremony will take place in June  at the Aalto Theatre in the German city of Essen.

The new Mercedes-AMG GT joins a high-calibre line-up in what is a new segment for the company, while the third generation smart fortwo has undergone improvements in virtually all areas and is markedly more comfortable.
