As winter slowly creeps through our windowpanes and settles in our bones, Hartenberg Wine Estate prepares to keep away the chill with heart-warming soul food, crackling fires and world-class wines.
Delicious new items have been added to add extra spice to this already popular Winter Menu: delectable Prawn and Fish Pie with a cauliflower crust – a Banter’s delight; pan-fried Sirloin steak with mouth-watering café de Paris butter for the Carnivores among us, and Wonton Ravioli filled with Butternut Purée, Sage and Goat’s Cheese as a Vegetarian option.
The level of enjoyment has been taken up a notch with the introduction of the Hartenberg Tasting Menu. A three-course selection from the à la Carte menu, each paired with a glass of Hartenberg wine, can be enjoyed at R195 per person. A four-course selection is available at R245 per person.
The food offering is lip smacking no doubt, but it is the passion behind the food that undoubtedly warms the heart. Hartenberg Wine Estate firmly believes in the development of their employees, and each plate leaving the kitchen pays homage to that philosophy. When your beautifully plated Panko-crumbed Pork Neck in wholegrain mustard sauce arrives in front of you, take a moment to appreciate the food-art, as it is not the work of a professionally trained chef.
Fumbatha, Marlies, Thobeka and Missies work their magic with passion and dedication from the oven to the plate. They have a combined average of close to 20 years at Hartenberg, having started in the vineyards. The ingredients of development and human accomplishment give the Hartenberg food that extra dash of soul.
Join Hartenberg Wine Estate this winter and raise your glasses to good food, special people and remarkable achievements!
