The SC Seniors held their Open Championship at our club weekend 30-31st May. The weather forecast for the weekend did not look good but, fortunately, the rain held off until Sunday noon and they were able to complete the two day competition before the heavy rains fell.
Congratulations to David Konzani, a Humewood member, who was the overall A Division Gross winner, playing a 71 on both days (142 gross). Runner-up was Bertus Smit, from Mossel Bay, who played a 72 on both days (144 gross).
Due to the various divisions one prize only per player allowed.
The A Division Nett winner, was Johnny Millar from The Links, Fancourt on 140 and 2nd Best Nett winner was Johan Marais from Fancourt on 140.
Congratulations to Andre du Plessis, a Mossel Bay member, for winning the B Division on 79 points. Runners-up were Robert Bass, from Mossel Bay and Leon Barnard from Woodhill Country Club on 75 points.
