Achievent for Miceala Andrews

SWD’s Micaela Andrews was honoured at the Cricket South Africa Awards Breakfast as the CSA Girl’s U/19 Player of the Tournament at a function that was held in Johannesburg last weekend.  Andrews, a learner at Bridgton Senior Secondary School in Oudtshoorn was rewarded for her outstanding efforts at the CSA u/19 Girls Week that was held in Mbombela (formerly Nelspruit) that was held in December 2015.

She made a huge impact for her team at the tournament, scoring 237 runs and taking eight wickets.  She was also named in the 48-women 2015/16 CSA Monitoring Squad.

The President of SWD Cricket, Mr Rudy Claassen, congratulated Andrews on her excellent achievements.  “We are indeed proud of her and will follow her progress with great interest”, he said.
