The SWDC Coaching Department will be conducting a Level II Cricket Coaching Course for all interested cricket coaches over the 17/18 July 2015 at Glenwood House. All coaches who hold a level I certificate qualify to attend the course and we encourage coaches, especially those at schools to attend this course which will be presented by Garry Hampson (SWDC Coaching Manager, Level IV Coach), as well as guest Level II & III coaches.
PLEASE NOTE THE CSA STIPULATED REQUIREMENTS TO ATTEND THE COURSE!
- minimum age of 21 years.
- a candidate must either: have been in possession of a Revised Level I certificate for at least 12 months or; be an existing / qualified Level II Coach (pre-2005 certificate);
- played representative cricket (at first-class level).
- The Level II Course will consist of EIGHT modules, including the evaluations (written exam & practical assessments) and be 24 hours in duration:
- Successful candidates will qualify for a certificate after a six-month probation period from the time of successfully completing the course
NOTE: there is a refundable R350 registration fee for the course (payable by 13th July) which will be refunded to coaches on attendance off all sessions and completion of both the exam and practical evaluation (pass or fail).
Please ensure you are able to attend and meet all requirements prior to the commencement of the course.
Headmasters and Cricket Co-ordinators at schools are encouraged to have any coaches in their institutions attend the course which will enhance the coaches skills to a level where they will understand the basic biomechanics of the game and how to coach these techniques. It will also aid in developing cricketers to a level where they are able to step up to representative cricket. Please note numbers are limited.
Each candidate is to complete the attached registration form and these with a copy of your id book must be sent to the SWDC Coaching Department by 12pm, Monday 29 June 2015 via email to (email@example.com) or fax (0442726294).
