A main highlight of the PG Comics line-up is the brand new, hilarious cooking/comedy collaboration by Chris Forrest (comedian and Celebrity Masterchef SA winner) and Pete Goffe-Wood (celebrity chef and Masterchef SA judge) in their “whisk-qué” show, Don’t Burn Your Sausage that will have you salivating salaciously and crying with laughter.

Having received rave reviews at NAF 2014 and its most recent successful Durban and Johannesburg shows, Who’s Your Daddy? starring Chris Forrest is back by popular demand to the festival stage.  A must see show for those who are parents, those who want to be parents or those who know parents!

Be sure not to miss the hilarious antics of Chris Forrest, Deep Fried Man and Warren Robertson, back with all new material and a top SA guest comedian each night to prove that they’re Still Funnier Than Them.

And debuting his second one-man show, The Great Explorer, Warren Robertson delves into the pages of history – what he learns won’t change the world, but it might make you want to get on an airplane to go and see it.

Starring Warren Robertson
Directed by Chris Forrest
PG

Consumed by wanderlust, comedian Warren Robertson’s seemingly insatiable desire to travel the world has taken him to over 30 countries and far from the creature comforts of home. Now in his second one-man show, he delves into the pages of history to examine the Great Explorers of the past in an attempt to find a common thread that answers the question, “Why do we need to travel?” It’s the history that your teachers never taught you about the characters you thought you already knew. From Magellan to Marco Polo, Ibn Battuta and Scott of the Antarctic, what he learns won’t change the world, but it might make you want to get on an airplane to go and see it.

Starring Chris Forrest

Directed by Bevan Cullinan

PG13

Chris Forrest is back on stage with his hilarious one-man show, Who’s Your Daddy? – a clueless dad’s journey to fatherhood.  Who’s Your Daddy? is about Chris’ own experience of becoming a father.  From pregnancy to birth to looking after an infant and everything in between, the show is a laugh-a-minute hilarious look at what really happens and how to deal with it.  It is a must-see for anyone wanting to become a parent or who is a parent or who knows a parent!  Who’s Your Daddy? is proudly brought to you by Huggies.  The show is written and performed by Chris Forrest and directed by Bevan Cullinan.  Chris only finished writing the show after his daughter turned one – because of sleep deprivation.  Chris involves the audience and they are made to feel partly responsible for this masterpiece.  Chris Forrest has been on the forefront of the SA comedy scene since the late 90’s.  His unique dry sense of humour, quick wit and intelligent comedy has made him one of the country’s most popular comedians.  Audiences are left in stitches wherever he goes.

pickledginger is a corporate entertainment and creative concepts agency and is the latest concept in eventing.  It is the brain child of Tabitha Hoy, who is no stranger to the entertainment world.  She has dabbled in the industry as far back as her university days where she was one of the first female DJs on the University of the Witwatersrand’s Voice of Wits.

Having started her professional career as an entertainment journalist back in 2003, Tabitha has gone on to produce comedy & music shows and manage artists in a variety of different fields ever since.  After a 4 year stint as a freelance entertainment booking agent, working closely with The Comedy Shop and Speakers of Note, Tabitha joined the corporate field working for PrimeTalent, Primedia Broadcasting’s in-house agency managing all the on-air presenters for their four stations; 94.7 Highveld Stereo, Kfm, 702 and Cape Talk. From there, she joined G Management, Electromode’s in-house agency, working with the likes of Jack Parow, Die Heuwals Fantasties and JR.  Over the years, Tabitha has been involved in some of the largest and most high profile events in Johannesburg.

In 2012, Tabitha went back to her roots and created pickledginger, a freelance agency but still very much respected within the industry.  She understands and has experience managing everything from comedians, speakers and musicians to voiceover artists and celebrity endorsements.
