Brand identity for SWD Cricket

SANDBLASTING SWD LOGOOn the eve of the 2015/16 season South Western Districts Cricket is searching for a Brand Name for its provincial cricket teams. In building the SWD Cricket brand and create further awareness the company will be aiming to ensure commercial growth but also explore awareness in new and existing locations. The new brand will be launched with the inaugural Africa Twenty – in which SWD will participate and will be broadcasted live on Supersport on 25, 26 and 27 September 2015.

The competition is open for all members of the public and all what is needed is to e-mail the proposed brand name to by no later than 31 August 2015. The participant must also motivate why he/she decided on a specific name.

The winner will receive two complimentary tickets and one night’s free accommodation for the 5th Momentum One Day International between the Proteas and England that will be played at Newlands on 14 February 2016. All participants will be entered into a lucky draw.

The BRAND NAME must be easy to pronounce, easy to recognise, easy to remember, in short, distinctive and unique, must have a positive connotation and must reinforces the desired product image.

The Board of Directors of SWD Cricket reserves the right to make the final decision regarding the brand name.
