South Western Districts cricket recently announced the provincial age group coaches and team managers for the respective teams which will participate in the Cricket South Africa (CSA) national tournaments in December.
David Pryke, a former Dolphins and SWD provincial player, was named head coach of the SWD U/19 team to play in the Coca Cola Khaya Majola u/18 week. The tournament will be held in Port Elizabeth from 16 to 20 December. Pryke will be assisted by Merlin Masimela who also played first-class cricket for SWD. The team manager is Francois Visagie.
The CSA u/17 tournament will be held in Pietermaritzburg from 11-15 December, Pieter Stuurman was named head coach. Siya Nkosana will be his assistant. The team will be managed by Marco Paulsen.
Salvin Hannie was named head coach of the SWD u/15 team. Hannie will be assisted by Ranwill Claassen. The team manager will be Joseph Sonti. The u/15 tournament will be held in East London from 10-14 December 2015.
The head coach for the SWD u/13 team will be Wynand de Ridder assisted by Chicco Ponela. The team manager will be Keith Wagner. The u/13 tournament will be held in Johannesburg from 10-14 December.
Elridge Booysen was named head coach of the CSA U/19 Girls team. Mocelle May will be Booysen’s assistant. Elize Arendse will be the team manager. The CSA u/19 Girls week will be held in Durban from 11-15 December.
