Message to the Class of 2015
As Acting Executive Mayor of the Eden District, allow me to wish all Matriculants well for the 2015 final exams. The Eden District Council is very proud of every learner who showed perseverance in order to reach this milestone. We understand that it was a stressful period and will continue so, but we are confident that you will achieve success.
Furthermore I would like to extend a word of gratitude to all educators for their dedication to expand the level of knowledge of our leaders for tomorrow. Without your education, the Matriculants would never have reached this stage of their lives.
Every parent is a key figure in their child’s life and therefore serves as the primary informal educator. Please encourage your child during this period and remind him/her that, whatever the outcome, they must endure – “Energy and persistence conquer all things!”

Boodskap aan Matrikulante van 2015
Ek wens alle matrikulante die beste toe vir die finale 2015 Matriekeksamens wat voorlê. Die Eden Distriksmunisipaliteit se Raad is baie trots op diegene wat deurgedruk en só ver gevorder het. Ons verstaan dat dit ‘n stresvolle tyd was en nog gaan wees, maar ons is oortuig daarvan dat julle sukses sal behaal.
Vervolgens wil ek die puik personeel bedank vir hul toewyding om die jeug, ons leiers van die toekoms, se kennis te verbreed. Sonder julle opvoeding sou die Matrikulante nie kon wees waar hul hulself vandag bevind nie.
Elke ouer is ‘n hoofrolspeler in ‘n kind se lewe en dien as die eerste informele opvoeder van ‘n kind. Motiveer jul kind(ers) in hierdie tyd en herinner elkeen dat wat ookal die uitkoms mag wees, hul net moet onthou, AANHOUER WEN!
