The newly promoted club, Western Hope, had an impressive weekend in the Sedgars SWD Premier League competition when they recorded two victories the past weekend. On Saturday they, after posted 224, defeated the George Madibaz (172/9) by 52 runs and on Sunday – after posted a total of 151 – dismissed Sussex for 147 for a 4 runs victory.
Pacaltsdorp United had mixed success. On Saturday they chased down 127 runs against George to record a victory by 3 wickets but on Sunday they lost by 33 runs against the George Madibaz (214) who batted first and thereafter restricted Pacaltsdorp to 181.
Mossel Bay also won both their encounters with victories against Sussex (by 25 runs) and Harlequins (by 6 wickets). Union Stars (103/3) are still unbeaten after a seven wickets victory against Blanco (101 all out).
Harlequins Forces (129), on Saturday, defeated Pirates (78 all out) by 51 runs at Loerie Park thanks to an impressive bowling performance by Ronald Dirks (4/12) and Niel Hendricks 3/16)
