After two draws in the Cricket South Africa Sunfoil Cup Three Day competition the SWD senior cricket team will travel to Durban this weekend where they will take on KwaZula Natal at the Chatsworth oval.
Although not be able to pull-off outright victories in their first two matches Waldo Lategan and his troops will be confident with their batting performances as they posted more than 350 runs in their first innings in both encounters.
The SWD bowling unit suffered two recent blows with Otneill Baartman (injured elbow), Lyndon Volkwyn (shoulder), Erinn Ewerts (finger) and Marcello Piedt (injured heel) not available. Their injuries opened the door for Nelson Setimani to and Glenton Stuurman. Setimani is a product of the SWD Academy program.
Piedt, however, should be fit for the One Day match that will be played on Sunday.
The team for the weekend is: Waldo Lategan (captain), Luthando Mnyanda, Neil Hornbuckle, Sammy-Joe Avontuur, Brendon Louw, Pieter Stuurman,Nelson Setiman, Siya Simetu, Siyabonga Booi, Glenton Stuurman and Gurshwin Rabie. Hanno Kotze and Marcello Piedt will be added to the team for the One Day fixture.
