Cape Town – The South African Weather Service has warned of high seas with waves heights in excess of six metres expected between Plettenberg Bay in the Western Cape and Port Alfred in the Eastern Cape.
These waves will be fueled by gale force south-westerly winds, reaching up to 70 kilometres per hour expected between Cape St Francis and East London in the Eastern Cape.
Apart from the ideal surfing conditions along the coast, the SA Weather Service also warned of extremely high veld fire danger conditions expected over the central interior of the country.
Temperatures in the northern interior of SA are expected to reach severe high temperatures tomorrow.
Pretoria, Mafikeng and Vryburg is expected to reach a maximum of 39°C, while Rustenburg will be the hottest place in SA tomorrow, expected to reach a maximum of 40°C.
According to the minimum and maximum temperatures forecasted for the weekend, travellers can expect perfect beach weather, ranging between 23°C and 30°C during the day along SA’s coasts.
