Some dams are overflowing, but the municipality says restrictions will not be lifted.
CAPE TOWN – The Eden District Municipality says water restrictions won’t be lifted despite dam levels going up.
Some dams are even overflowing thanks to recent rains in the region.
But the municipality’s Wouter Jacobs says restriction will remain in place in several towns.
“Most of our dams are more than 90 percent full and about four are more than 100 percent full, they are overflowing. However, in the Kannaland area, there are water restrictions.”
